On her first day as a four-month old, Francesca tried her first solid food, rice cereal, and found it to be utterly disgusting, an opinion she continues to hold unless the rice cereal is mixed in with something delicious. Delicious foods include banana, sweet potato, carrots, pear, and yogurt. Francesca has turned out to be a championship eater and, while growling, will lunge with an open mouth at almost anything while clearly wondering 'can I eat this?'.

Francesca has now mastered the front to back roll and is working on figuring outhow to flip herself from her back to front. While on her back, she has discovered her feet, toes, and socks to be most noteworthy and interesting.

This is the month that Francesca really learned how to play. As glimpsed in the photographs, she can now sit up with little support and enjoys her newfound talent to grab objects, move them around, and bring them to her mouth. She also enjoys achieving maximum vert in her bumper jumper.

On February 6, there was a tropical cyclone in the Indian ocean called Francesca -- since Francesca and the cyclone are never seen in the same place at the same time, we can only presume that Francesca is off wreaking havoc during the limited time that both her parents are sleeping.
